Mother’s Day Sale is Coming Up

The cool weather has ended in South FL and many of our favorite veggie crops are finishing their season. We now begin our “warm season” when only tropical, heat and humidity tolerant crops thrive.

Need a gift for mom? Our Mother’s Day Sale is coming up!

Mother’s Day Sale

Sat, May 11th, 10am-3pm

4590 SW 122nd Ave, Miami, FL, 33175

At our sale we will have a wide selection of tropical fruit trees, native butterfly plants, heat tolerant veggies, herbs, and other supplies for your garden like soil mix, mulch, organic fertilizer and more!

To see our updated availability list ahead of time, please email dylan@ready-to-grow.com.

For those that would prefer an appointment on another day, please schedule on our appointments page.

Also, in an effort to reduce waste, we are accepting donations of pots (any size), trays for pots, and cardboard boxes (for holding plants). We also offer a store credit for 7, 15 and 25 gallon pots.

If you know anyone that might want to attend, please let them know!

Thanks again for your continued support. We are grateful to continue to help others grow their own food. In advance, we are wishing all a Happy Mother’s Day, especially the mothers!

Join the RTG Team

Ready-to-Grow Gardens is hiring!

Are you or is someone you know looking for a job helping others grow their own food? Joining the RTG team might be a good fit! There is a growing demand for people needing help with their edible garden and we need to build our team over the coming months.

We are looking for help with the following:

– Edible garden installation & care

– Fruit tree planting & care

– Nursery management (plant propagation, organization, weeding, signage)

– Carpentry (building garden beds)

– Loading and transporting heavy materials

– Sales of plants and garden supplies at the nursery

– Marketing

– Garden education (helping teach others to grow their own food)

Gardening can be a lot of fun, but keep in mind that working outdoors is usually hot and sometimes rainy. We are looking for teammates with a strong focused work ethic. Prior experience with growing edible plants is preferred but not necessary.

If interested, please email dylan@ready-to-grow.com with a cover letter, resume and preferred pay rate. We are open to occasional, part-time and full-time help. Also, if you know someone that might be interested in this, please share!

Below is a video he made at our nursery and demo garden showing some of the growing we do.  I recommend watching it and other videos that John has made about growing your own food.  More at www.growingyourgreens.com …
